I see my job as guiding clients to process their emotions, experiences, and thoughts so that they can find meaning in their lives. I strive to create a safe space where you can explore this and develop strategies to help you navigate life's challenges. Therapy is a private and personal experience that is different for everyone, and I believe it is paramount to be flexible in finding strategies to help each individual client. I find that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy, and finding the right therapist can make all the difference in ensuring you feel understood and heard. Because of this, I use a variety of strategies in therapy, primarily consisting of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), person-centered, and feminist therapy. I enjoy working with clients who want to explore their pasts, grow as individuals, and find meaning in their lives. Reach out to me to see how I can help you!

The teen years can be a very difficult and stressful time in life, and the right support can make a world of difference. It is my role as your counselor to be one of those supports and give you the right tools to help you succeed in your goals. It is paramount for you to have a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

I have experience using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help teen clients manage their emotions. In our sessions together, you'll find a safe and nurturing space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Through the lens of DBT, we'll work together to develop skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These tools will empower you to navigate difficult situations with resilience and confidence. But therapy isn't just about learning skills; it's also about connecting authentically and rediscovering joy. Whether it's through art, games, or storytelling, we'll tap into your natural creativity and curiosity to uncover new insights and perspectives.

If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Outside the Office

When she's not focused on her clinical work, Rylee enjoys hiking, cooking new dishes, coloring, and spending time with friends and family. She is also returning to her lifelong passion for horseback riding and loves spending time at the barn. In her free time, Rylee can be found curled up on her couch with a mug of tea, reading a book with her cat, Flannel.

TELL ME ABOUT FEES AND INSURANCE?

Rylee’s individual fee is $175 per 60-minute intake session and 45-minute follow-up session. Rylee’s teen fee is $265 per 90-minute intake session (with parents/guardians) and $175 per 45-minute follow up session.

SBCS is not paneled with any insurance plans but can offer you what's called "out-of-network benefits" (OONB). Not everyone has this as part of their benefits package, so please call your healthcare plan and ask these questions:

Do I have out-of-network benefits?
What percentage of my therapist's fee does my plan pay for?

MOST OON BENEFITS PLANS PAY BETWEEN 50-90% OF MY FEE.

At times, insurance plans request upfront billing codes that SBCS will be using.  You can share this list of codes for their approval:

  • 90791  Psychiatric Diagnostic Assessment (from 1-4 sessions depending on the problem)

  • 90834 Psychotherapy, 45 minutes

  • 90847  Family Psychotherapy, conjoint psychotherapy with patient present

  • 90846 Family Psychotherapy, without patient present

  • 90887 Collateral visit

When using OON Benefits, SBCS will provide you with a document monthly called a "superbill" which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly and your plan would reimburse you directly as well.

You can get in-network therapy if this is out of your budget. Your plan can identify providers who are in-network should you need to use your benefits.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

Space Between Counseling Services utilizes a HIPAA compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called SimplePractice that holds all of my client's mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access documents like invoices and superbills on your own.

SimplePractice has a credit card processing system named Stripe embedded in it.  If choosing to work with SBCS you would upload your credit card number and SBCS would tap the card after each session or late cancellation for the fee. SBCS only have access to the last 4 digits of your card and it is completely secured.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELlATION POLICY?

At Space Between Counseling Services, we have a 24 business hour cancellation policy. You will be responsible for an entire session fee of $175 if the change is made in less than 24 business hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies such as sudden illness or accident, at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
