Chop Wood Carry Water

“Once you carry your OWN water, you will learn the value of every drop.

To US at SBCS, this quote embodies a mindset of gratitude.

So often, we go through life without acknowledging the ‘gifts’ around us because they are merely there by circumstance.

Between Chaos and Calm

We named our counseling practice Space Between Counseling Services because we all need a peaceful, safe place to pause and reflect in the midst of our busy lives, between chaos and rigidity. Our goal is to help you find the spaces of flow between sessions.

The times of transition, the moments between action and reaction, the distance that might be growing between you and your inner peace, or if you are healing from trauma, these are the spaces in between that are calling out for your attention. In these times, we need resources that help our nervous system feel safe and regulated.

Creating a safe space during internal struggles or after trauma or conflict is a process. It is important to remember that our nervous systems function differently; what feels supportive, safe, and regulating to one person may be different for another...and that’s okay.

SBCS Regulation Resource Handbook

The tools in this SBCS regulation resource handbook, found below, are designed to support you in exploring different resources that can aid in nervous system regulation.

These resources are designed to be used alongside therapy and with the support of a therapist.
